I really enjoy this forum, but after reading most if not all the posts since I've been a member, I havent seen much about towing experiences. I personally have only tested my truck once so far and it pulls my 4500 LB boat no problem. Im happy with my trucks towing capacity, because had nissan not built the titan, I would have been stuck buying a diesal just to make sure that the torque would be available when I tow my boat down south thru the mountains. So far this is the best truck I've ever owned. I dont have any of the misfortunes (problems) that some of you folks have and I do feel for all. I guess I am lucky so far.
hi Higgy,
We have a big camping trip planned for next weekend up in the mountains,
we went last year to the same place and I towed with my toyota, I didn't think the toy was going to make it, I was really getting worried, so this will be a great comparison.
Iv'e towed with the titan before with no problems, but nothing as steep as what we will be doing next week.
Camper probably weighs 5500 lbs.
I'll keep ya informed.
Daryl
You mean towing like this I have towed a long distance yet will will probally tow to next weekends trail or camping the weekend after. All I say is Its got plenty of power.

We have a 22' pontoon and a 17.5' skiboat, but haven't towed either yet. I'm hopeful tomorrow will be nice and we'll take the pontoon out and read the Sunday paper.
If it's not nice, I'll probably take the boat out just to see what it's like. I also want to make sure towing doesn't induce additional squeaks and rattles, as we have a dealer appointment scheduled for Friday.
I tow this stuff about once a month. Its about 7000 pounds worth. I have had no problems. I have been getting about 9mpg while towing but it seems like it is always in wicked high winds. I am actually loaded up right now and will be using it to tow again in the morning. Hopefully the wind wont be blowing at 60mph this time.

I tow a 19ft bass boat...around 3300lbs. It is like it is not even there and getting the boat up the ramp is nothing.
I agree. We just got back from a camping trip towing a trailer that weighs about 3500 lbs empty. The truck handles well on winding country roads and the towing mirrors are a great aid to merging and changing lanes on the highways.
We're going from Phx to southern Colorado next week on our first long trip with the Titan and the trailer so I'll be sure to let everyone now how we did.

Although I don't have my Titan yet (supposed to be here this week!). I plan to tow with it. Nothing overly huge just a quad in the bed and one the trailer and in the winter a 2 place snowmobile trailer with 2 snowmobiles.
We too, just got back from our maiden voyage with our new 5th wheel camper and titan. Every thing went beautifully. approx 100 mile one way trip. gas mileage does suck when towing, but that is something to be expected.
I tow a Weekend Warrior Toyhauler FS2300 26' long 5690# dry, wet with quads ready for the desert 7560#. Towed the trailer good at 6000# haven't towed it yet fully loaded. But my rear diff went out while towing so after it is fixed I will tow the trailer full again.

TitanBill,
Would love to see pics with the 5th wheel hooked up. Could you give details on the pin weight and total weight of your camper?
I am looking into getting a titan, I have a 24' enclosed car trailer that depending on what is loaded weighs anywhere from 5500 up to about 7500 lbs. Can the titan handle that weight and how well will it tow??

Thanks for any input
