Re: fuse location for trailer lights

They should be on the left side inside the engine compartment. There is
several fuse banks inside the box. Theres a diagram of the fuses on the lid.
Kinda tricky to get to them,

Re: fuse location for trailer lights

Make sure the trailer is grounding to the truck. Sometimes the ground will be weak and cause problems with the lights.

Do you have the trailer light relays? Not all titans come with them

Re: fuse location for trailer lights

What year is the Titan? The running lights should work regardless if you have the relays in place or not. If you have all relays ect... another thing to check if you have an 04-05 is two fuse by the BCM (assumming the tow harness TSB was done).

Re: fuse location for trailer lights

Body Control Module (A computer that controls all the electric functions). It is located under the dash just to the right of the drivers knee if I recall correctly. The other main computers are the ECM Engine Control Module or Engine Control Unit (ECU) and the TCM Transmission Control Module.

Technical Service Bulletin, which is Mfg info of a problem and how to fix it, but not neccesarily a recall. Early Titans had some issue with Trailer lights, and an updated design harness was installed, later on the design was changed. But that harness has a coulle fuses, not listed in the book.

I'm guessing you probably have this figured out by now, but I had the same thing happen to me and had no idea that many Titans came without trailer light relays. I could have saved myself a lot of time and headache if I knew. I had to buy two blue ones and a brown one from the dealer to get all my lights working. Cost $100 bucks or so for all of them and the parts guy acted like I was the 5000th person to come in for them.
