Trailor wiring

Wanted to know the easiest way to wire my titan for towing a trailer. I have a 4X4 with some sort of towing package but not big tow. I have a hitch and ball with no receiver, I have a huge plug thing that goes to a standard trailer plug but nowhere to plug it in. I dont think I got the towing package but got the items needed for the towing package (goodies). Well we are going to shoot some crows tomorrow and I had planned to pull my friends boat but realized tonight that I cant see a way to hook up trailer lights. Does anyone know a quick fix? I would be willing to go buy something if I can get it at a normal parts store.

Look under your rear bumper. The trailer wiring should be under there strapped up with a zip-tie, possibly attached to the frame rail. Look for a bundle of black split-loom with the 7 pin connector capped off at the end.

the plugin on the end of the trailer wire is not the 7 pin connector. another part is required as well as the relays to make the lights work if they haven't already been installed

Duh, forgot about that. Sorry its been about 6 months since I put mine on. That becomes painfully obvious when you go to plug it in DOH!

Where can I get the item that goes from the plug to the actual plug for the trailer. I found where some type of kit can be installed but I have no kit.

I called autozone and advanced auto and neither stocked this item nor could they order them.

FYI. I pulled the trailer anyway. The Titan pulls like a dream.

you have to get the plug that the actual wires plug into from nissan. Then if you want to adapt it to 4 prong plug walmart carries them.
