CC titan with a 5th Wheel set-up?

Does anyone have a CC titan with a 5th Wheel set-up? I have a 4x4,XE,CC that I replaced my old 2000 4.8 ltr Z71 with and I need to rig it for towing a 5th wheel.
NOTE: I put many miles towing a 5300lb dry wt 5th with the Z71 and never had a problem, so I think the Titan will be OK. The only issue will be bed length, slider, pin extention?

I looked into replacing my TT with a 5th, but decided not to and upgrade to a bigger TT, (22' GVWR 7000, hitch weight 510). I was concerned with the payload, my Titan has 1200lb payload and is similarly set up with 4x4,LE,CC,BT. The smallest 5th hitch weight was 550 lb, most were 600+ lbs. By the time I added the hitch, gear and kids I got to the payload max very quickly. Also, was not able to find a stock hitch, the shop I use would be a custom hitch, for a fair price but it seamed like the truck is not really suit for pulling 5th. The truck is built to pull 9300 lbs but lacks a payload capacity.

I imagine with the deep box on the new F150 it would be even worse. I think the short beds on the CC's are not particularly well suited to towing a 5th wheel in general though, no matter what manufacturer. Manuvering could be a problem (cab clearance). A 3/4 ton crew cab would probably do better with a 5th wheel as it would have a regular sized bed. (6.5 feet or even 8 feet if you desired).

i don't think you are supposed to do a 5th wheel in a crew cab, according to the owner's manual that is. i think the bed is too short and the trailer would butt up against the back of the cab.

Several manufacture make adjustable hitches that are built with short bed crew cabs in mind. They are designed to move side-to-side or front to back. Also, I have been told by one of the big hitch manufactures that the new F150 is not rate to pull a 5th either. My guidelines are to back off manufactures maximum weights and limits by 20-25%, I want to have more power and the ability to tow with comfort and safety. Many RV sales people will tell you to use the unloaded weight, because you could never put in stuff in the unit to reach GVWR, but you can by having your tanks full (fresh, gray and black) and gear for a 2-week trip. I also use GVWR not the ‘Dry’ weight rating.

Well I suppose in their mind (RV salesmen) you would put the stuff in the trailer? Oh brother. If I wanted to tow a big trailer, I would have gotten a Ford SuperDuty.

This is the set up I towed my 5300lb 5th wheel with for 4 years 2ice to the east coast and back, Guess I'm just lucky!

5300 lbs, with a 785 lb pin weight or so (15%), should not be nearly as bad as an 8K trailer with a 1250 lb pin as described by someone in another thread. Your biggest challenge as you mention will be getting the clearance between the cab and the RV.
