Here's what I wrote in another post:

Well I really worked mine over last weekend. From Durango Co to Silverton, CO with two dirt bikes and a big Honda generator in the bed (at least 800#) then my Coachman 25 ft trailer with 100 gallons of water around 7000#. Behind that a small trailer with a Yamaha Grizzly ATV around 1200#. Wait there's more... Over two greater than 10,000' passes up a 60 mile steep mountain road and then up the dirt to the camping area. NO PROBLEM. Handled great (Load distributing hitch without sway control) great power and speed. People stopped at my camp twice to ask if I towed all that stuff up here with the Titan. Asked again in Silverton, Asked at Walmart in Durango, and my new neighbor came over and asked about it.

Temp guages no problems, trans guage hardly moved. Offroad model, Big tow, the works. Racheted the weight hitch up very tight.

Easy to steer and handle. Have to be just a bit cautious on the biggest downhills since I didn't want to be in 1st all the way down, but this stuff is about as steep as it gets.

I am impressed with this beast.

Hope it helps.

Lol! That's a bigger load than I ever hauled with my Duramax diesel...

I have to wonder about that "great power and speed" observation

Hope you were towing some extra fuel

I'm a bit confused . . . Is your trailer a 5th Wheel or a Standard Ball Hitch??? You mentioned using a sway control which corresponds with a Standard Ball Hitch and then you said you were pulling another trailer behind your Coachman???

What's the weight on that 5th Wheel??? I heard they will void your warranty if you pull a 5th with the Titan??? True or Not True???

Titan Hauler,

From what I am understanding you want to go with a 'standard' type trailer vice the fifth wheel due to front clearance etc.

That being said, this will also leave your bed open for cargo or smaller toys :-)

TitanHauler: Mine is a hitch trailer, but you didn't specify in your first post, so I thought you were just asking about weight and handling. Hpe it helps. there was a big discussion somewhere here about 5th wheels and what hitches to use etc. Enjoy you titan, I was sure amazed what it can handle.

My 5th wheel weighs approx 5500 dry without all the camping stuff etc. Pin weight is around 700 lbs. My dealer said no problems at all with the 5er hitch.
I have a 16k double pivot slider hijacker hitch. Plenty of room to manuver into tight spots.

Re: Titan and a Toy Hauler

I drive a 2007 Titan SE King Cab with the Big Tow package. I put a Valley 16K sliding 5th wheel hitch in the truck. I pull a 2005 30ft TrailCruiser Fifth Wheel Camper, it weighs 7,200 lbs. I have a Primus 3rd Brake controller. I pulled my camper for the first time this past weekend( 175 miles). The Titan pulled the camper better than a 2500 Chevy with the 6.0 V8. The Titan acclerated great, the braking was good, and the gas mileage was better than the 2500 Chevy. I am really impressed with my Titan!!!

Re: Titan and a Toy Hauler

This is what I tow. 24' front bath, 7200lbs dry 900lbs tongue. Power is not an issue. It tows it very well especially with air bags. Now I just have to upgrade to LT tires and I'll be set. My neighbor tows a WW FB2600 with his and has no problems either.

I tow a 27" Salem TT, about 7000lbs loaded in the mountains. No problems here.
