Toy hauler advise

Hi guys. I want to buy a toy hauler but I'm not sure if this is the right one to buy. 2012 shockwave 21 ft. With a gvwr of 7600 lbs. My truck is 08 4x4 with big tow package. I have injen intake, magnaflow exhaust, and prodigy controller. I appreciate any advice thanks!

how heavy will it be with the tanks full and loaded with toys?

that's the real weight you'll want to know....

also, the salesman will lie.

Too heavy! They are very tongue heavy which isn't the biggest issue but it doesn't help. You'll be 7600 lbs plus any upgrades (ie: ac, racks, generators, etc...), add 1,000 lbs. water, gear, food, add another 500-1,500 lbs. in toys and then misc. you're WAY to heavy. When I was looking for a toy hauler I wouldn't look above 6500 lbs. dry weight. Not a lot of options. I decided to piggy back. Only a little better because my tailer is only 5500 lbs.

the 7600 pounds stated is the max weight for the trailer as I understand it, probably is 4500 or so dry, you should be fine.

Toyhaulers are notorious for being tongue heavy.

After checking specs you should be fine. If it is the 21' model it has a dry weight of 4,600 lbs.

Need to check tonguw weight. They are much heavier than a run of the mill travel trailer. I believe your max tongue weight on the T is somethin like 930 lbs. You should leave a cushion. Do not want to have a trailer with that tongue weight as well.

Tongue weight was 650 or something like that. He should be fine.

At 630 you should be OK. Mine is 720lbs and with the WD Hitch the T sqauts great. If you squat more than you like, may want to consider air bags.

Thank you all for the advice, now I just need to know what weight distribution and sway to get. I went to mike Thompson rv last night and they were trying to sell me one for about $950
