Titan XE and Electric Trailer Brakes???

I have a XE CC 2wheel drive. I also have a 25ft travel trailer equipped with electric brakes. I purchased a plug in harness from Nissan that plugs in under the dash and operates your trailer lights and brakes. All the lights on my trailer work but not the electric brakes. This thing weighs over 5000lbs.The problem is XE's do not have the trailer wiring plug under the dash. All the fuse's, breakers and relays are there for electric trailer brakes. There are no loose wires under the dash and I have had two different shops look at it. The first said they could wire it as if there was nothing there at all for a trailer and it should work with the electric brakes just fine but they didnt want to by-pass the factory relays, breakers ect... saying there is a for a reason for them being there. The second shop tried looking for the wires that would run to the plug if it was there but couldnt find them. So what do I do? Wire it up with after market fuses and breakers or find someone who can wire it to the factory wiring and relays? My local dealer says they have not done one do not have any answers for me. If any one has done this successfully to an EX please let me know how and with as detailed instructions as possible. Pictures would be a big plus.

i'm new to trucks and i know nothing about this, but there is already a thread regarding this topic so please search for it. i believe wiring for the xe is shorter than the se/le and therefore will not be directly under the steering column. i believe it is located in the driver kick panel area.

Do you have the Big Tow package? The electric brake wire is already installed from "dash to bumber" on the Big Tow package. This includes a plug under the dash, left of the steering wheel, that is ready to plug your brake controller into. It is easy to find and get to and is labelled with a big tag. All of this makes installing the brake controller as easy as screwing in a light bulb.
