you can always get some helper springs from autozone / oreilly.

they increase the payload capacity of the bed, and i think they help support a higher tounge weight on the hitch, and reduce sagging.

Firestone just came out with a Ride Rite Airbag setup for rear. The Part number is: 2355 for 4x4 and 2364 for 2 wheel drive. Suspension Connections was going to carry them when I checked a month back. I have not had the time to call. http://www.suspensionconnection.com

I think I am going to go with airbags in the rear ALSO
After doing the PRG leveling kit (love it!), putting both quads in the bed causes the rear to sag farther than I want.

I like the cheap ones that have the fill valves for the air installed under the fuel door. that is easy cuz I have a large compressor in the garage.

Those nice kits with the compressor on-board are quite a bit more, but are great if you un-hook and hook back up alot during a trip, like if you wanna drop the camper and cruise around town.. On the cheap kits (the kind that I will be getting) once you let the air out, you would have to hit a gas station to air back up before towing again.

The kits with the onboard compressor are nice cuz you can just hit the switch in the cab, and air up to your preset pressure. $$$

Agree, helper springs are an easy and cheap way to stiffen up the rear end. Unfortunately, some people only tow occasionally and the stiffer ride is on there all the time. When you don't have all the weight on the rear leafs, the truck will ride like a settler's wagon on the freeway.

They would be alot more appealing if it was easy to take them on and off. I konw on mine, I have to lay under the truck with a ratchet for about 15 minutes to get them on or off. Not something I want to do frequently.

Go with the Firestone Ride-Rite Kit, if you can find it. I ordered mine last week from Summit Racing and it's backordered till mid-February. I called around after that and got the same story from everyone. Unlike traditional helper springs, air springs allow you to have the extra lift/stability while towing but return to a stock ride for the daily drive. See my signature. The trailer is a 25' Toy Hauler and tips the scales around 9,000lbs+ when loaded. In the picture, my leveling bars were on the 4th link and my bed was 1/2 full of firewood. I estimate my tongue weight around 1,000lbs. The rear sags about 2 1/2 inches and essentially levels the truck but the ride is rough when towing and the rear isn't on the bumpstops, I've checked. Can't wait to get the front leveled out and the Firestone Airbags in. Also, if you haven't already, you may want to upgrade to an LT Tire for added security when towing. The P rated tires will probably be ok but the LT tires will insure your peace of mind. Happy Towing!

See, mine sags a lot more than your's does. I have a 26' WW and mine is around the same weight as yours. I think a lot of it has to do with the way they set up my hitch. The trailer does not sit level, it sags in the front a little(much like the Titan does but not as much) because they said it should level out when loaded. It may with the sand rail in it, but I haven't put it in yet as it's not finished yet. The most I have had in the rear is a Predator and a Raptor(along with water and fuel). The rail should weigh app 400-500 lbs more than the combined weights of the 2 quads. I definatly think airbags is the way to go and will be ordering some as soon as it is time to tow again. It's still snowing here, so no Sand Mtn(Nv.) for me for a couple of months.

towing boats

Check out equalizerhitch.com. They have a hitch that works great with boat
trailers with surge brakes. It is pricer then a regular load hitch, but it works great. Air bags due not load the frame or trailer properly. They just lift the
rear end up and due not distribute the weight.

Big shock! You would think the dealer would know how to set up a weight distributing hitch but they don't! I know 3 other people who have bought toy haulers in the past 6 months and not one was set up correctly. One of my buddies was so bad we had to pull over half way home and redo the set-up. Luckily I had warned him and he brought tools with him. I redid mine first thing but I did manage to get it home first. Like someone said, the airbags are not made to carry the bulk weight of the trailer they are mainly for support and ride quality so if your sagging more than my truck in the photo you should redo your hitch setup. Angle the hitch correctly and then reconnect the trailer. It may take a few tries but be patient. The notion that your toys in the trailer will level it out is ludicrous. If you load the trailer properly (ie: the bulk of the weight over the axles and a balance slight heavier to the front) it should sit the same as when empty. The entire trailer might sit a bit lower due to the weight. I have an Easy Lift hitch with a 14,000lb head and 1,400lb bars but the Equalizer is a nice hitch that I heard does wonders for sway. If you get it, get the top one which is rated at 12,000lbs/1,200lbs respectively. The list price on them is almost $700 without the ball but you should be able to reuse your old one. I will try and find this link I have where you can pick the hitch up for just over $400. Happy Towing.

Very Interesting! But it seems the ride would be really harsh with no load because there is no way to alter the spring rate. Still is very interesting. Thanks for the link.
