Towing the Junk

I towed the Jeep from Denver, CO to Moab, UT for a little vacation. The route was I-70 straight over the Rocky Mountains. I am not sure how much the Jeep and trailer weighed, and on the way out I was still breaking in the rear axle of the Titan (I tried to keep it at 55). On the way back I had to down shift to 3rd or even 2nd on the down hills. Heading up Vail pass, elevation 10,603 ft, the truck was able to maintain 60 mph. That’s a little slower than most cars, but I am happy considering I was towing a few thousand pounds. Over all I am pretty happy with the performance and it was a lot more comfortable than driving the jeep. I only checked the gas mileage on one tank and figured it to be around 10mpg.

Yeah, Jeeps aren't Known for comfort even tho I did drive a CJ-5 from Virginia to California when I was younger. Way Younger.

I sold an 84 CJ-7 a few years ago, and I still miss it when the weather gets nice. A late 90's Wrangler is on my "Must Get" list! Unfortunately, that list is very long and expensive!

That second picture could scare the hell out of you if you forgot it was there and took a quick glance!! lol
