New to towing 6000 lbs

I just bought a 23ft Weekend Warrior toyhauler. It is about 6000 lbs the way I use it, well within the tow capabilites of the Titan. I have an Equal-i-zer hitch. I set the hitch height and torsion bars per the instructions. The trailer is level and the truck looks level too. Is it normal for the truck to feel like it is 'bouncy' when on an somewhat bumpy interstate highway at 60 mph? Should I put more or less load on the torsion bars to improve the ride? Or is that just the way it is pulling big trailers?

I drag around a 25' RV with an Equal-i-zer brand hitch. No bouncy feel. What's the tongue weight? Are all your TOYS on the back end of the trailer?

No toys in it yet. Just drove it home from the dealer. It felt fine except for a stretch of road where the bumps were rythmic. I don't know any better, but in that stretch it felt like the trailer was bouncing the truck. Should I crank the torsion bars up another notch?

Towing

I just towed my 32' trailer, loaded to about 8-8500lbs., 900 miles to D.C. and back, and the Titan handled it like a champ. Tow mode, in 4th gear the whole way, 9 mpg avg. for the trip, sometimes up to 10, sometimes down to about 8.5

A little more tongue weight may help that bounce. Try one link less on the weight distributing bar chains or more weight towards to front of the trailer. You may have to experiment a little to find a ride/handling you prefer. Good luck and enjoy it!

Ditto... I second putting more tongue weight. Sounds like it's pulling up on the hitch.

Can't tell you how to fix it but there is a stretch of Rte *) in NJ that my truck bounces on with or without the trailer hooked to it. Its a 28ft 5500lb trailer.
The rest nof the time it tows fine.

I tow a 23ft TT about 5000 lbs loaded and 500lbs tongue weight. The Titan has plenty of power and i love how the transmission handles the shifting in the hills. I think the suspension is its limitation. The truck rides like a car. Even with an Equalizer hitch i get a little bounce on some roads.

It does make a difference how you setup the weight distribution bars. My truck seems to like more weight on the rear tires than you would have if you setup the hitch according to Equalizer. I have mine set more like it says in the nissan manual.
