TitanHauler, your truck looks great but don't you think the leveling kit makes your truck look wussy when you are towing such a big load? If your front end was 1.5-2 inches lower (stock), your rig wouldn't look so overloaded like it does in that picture. I just wanted to point that out to other folks who are debating on getting the leveling kit…something to think about if you tow a lot and want this leveling kit. Just my 2 cents.
Did you just call my truck "wussy"??? Maybe you'd like to step outside?
Honestly, I knew the stance would be like that when I did the leveling kit but all along I had planned on installing airbags in the rear so it will be a non-issue real soon. Would it be safe to say your not a big leveling kit fan?

I have to agree. It looks like your headlights hit the trees at night. I would never get a leveling kit just for that reason. My truck sits perfectly stock while towing. You also get safer handling when the back end isn't doing that awful duck squat.
Wow! We have the anti-leveling kit squad!

LOL...No...not at all! I'm not "ANTI" anything! To each his own. I just happen to be one of the few who prefers the raked look but beside that, I tow a larg-ish TT and don't want all the squat that goes along with the tongue weight and leveling kit. The addition of airbags should help but I've had bad experiences with airbags in the past. Nothing bad, just bags that broke al too often...of course we overloaded the crap out of em'...lol.

Honestly, I don't like the look of the truck in that photo but like I said, the bags have been in the plans all along so it's a temporary look. I can see blowing a single convoluted bag but if you blew up a double convoluted bag something was radically wrong. They suspend the entire weight of vehicles on these bags (air ride kits) so using them for load leveling purposes should be a walk in the park.

We used them on an older Tahoe and we were towing a 24' racing trailer. Now that trailer had to weight somewhere in the vacinity of 10,000 LBS. And the tongue weight was probably double what the truck was designed to tow. Both bags broke more than once. But even thought the truck was overloaded, the bags were rated to carry that weight. No idea why they kept breaking.

TitanHauler - Don't get me wrong here, I think your truck looks great but with a heavy load and that leveling kit it makes your truck 'appear' wussy. If you had air bags which would level your truck when you were hitched up then I would agree it looks bad a-ss.
I just wanted to point out to others who are considering buying this leveling kit that they may not look so good while hauling (and they may be sacrificing some safety). With this insight someone who doesn't want to fork out the additional money for airbags might reconsider this leveling kit if they plan on hauling a lot. This comment really wasn't meant to be directed towards those people who did not plan on hauling a heavy load or they planned on getting airbags with their leveling kit.

It aslo depends on what your towing too, I have the leveling kit and mine is just fine. I actually had to get a longer drop bar to level the camper out.

my dad is going to buy a two car gooseneck trailer for his classic cars they're antique chryslers he hauls them from virginia to Calisle PA once a year and he doesnt know if the TITAN can haul it but if it can he is going to do it if not he will have me driving the follow behind truck
Do you guys think it can haul it?? what is the max weight the titan can haul??
the trailer is said to weigh about ?7200? pounds by it self with two cars it would probally be 6000 + pounds
any titan would be overloaded since the max towing capacity is 9500 lbs. You need a least a 3/4 ton and possibly a 1 ton truck to carry that load.

I was just thinking the same thing when I saw the sag. If it's been leveled, then I know why.
If it's at the tow limit of 9500lbs, you wouldn't be able to have but one person in the truck with nothing in the bed, otherwise you're overloading the GVWR.
I've been shopping for trailers and I've come to the conclusion if you expect to have your crew cab filled with people, have a trailer big enough for all those people, and have anything in the truck's bed, you'll need a 3/4 ton truck to keep from going over GVWR.
The heaviest trailer I'd want to tow, and that I've looked at, is a 24'. Dry weight of 4200lbs and tongue weight of 450lbs. After my add ons, I have ~1230 of payload. That's 123lb side steps, ~35lbs for tonneau cover, and ~25lbs for hitch receiver. 4 guys at 200lbs is 800lbs plus 100lbs of firewood is 900lbs of truck cargo. I now only have 330lbs left of the GVWR for tongue weight. Using an average of 10%, I can only tow a 3300lb trailer with empty tanks and no trailer cargo. That's roughly an Ultra-Lite 19' travel trailer.
Another thing I found is that 10% is definitely not the rule. I found many large trailers that have tongue weights as little as 7% of the trailer weight, and as high as 15%. IMO, the tongue weight is the main concern as I'll never reach the tow max before I reach the GVWR.

Your math is dead on! The published numbers are pathetic and misleading to say the least. When towing heavy with a 1/2 ton you just have to use common sense and do the necessary upgrades (LT Tires, synthetic fluids, etc). If you hook up and get on the road and the thing is all over the place and obviously unsafe then you need to start shopping for a bigger truck.

Forest River makes a ultralight TT that is almost 32' with a weight of only 4000 lbs and a hitch weight in the 350 range. Seems like it would be a good one to pull with a Titan CC.

32' is getting pretty long, even with a light trailer. Make sure you have a great sway control system on a trailer this long. I would rather pull a heavier trailer than on that is too long.
I have 25', 7000-lb UVW Thor Jazz coming in 2 weeks. With a fully loaded truck (people and gear) and trailer I'm going to be over the recommended payload capacity by as much as 200-lb (but under the GVWR and GCWR) and I'm not sweating it one bit. I have a great weight distribution hitch and sway control setup and a great brake controller, and I know several people pulling more trailer than I am without any problems.
