Towing Question/drop hitch

I was moving my trailer yesterday with my new Titan. I decided just to use my old reciever hitch, which I have had since about 1999. It is about a 2 inch drop. Well it turns out that is does not drop enough. Looks like my trailer is popping a wheelie then it is hooked to my truck. Also, the trailer jack will not go up high enough to hook it up without about three cinder blocks under it.

My question is what amount of drop do the reciever hitches that you guys use have? I am driving a 2005 Titan CC SE 4x4.

Looks to me like a 4 inch drop would be about perfect.

Thanks

I run a 4.5" drop hitch on my 4x4 CC. The trailer I tow is an old backhoe trailer that my dad put a normal coupler on, so its really low. I could probably go with even more drop, but when I load th trailer up, it sags the truck enough to make it level.

Hitch Drop

I have a 4" drop for hitch connection. The top of hitch opening on my Titan is 19", hope that helps.
