About the same as I tow. I have a 34 foot Eagle and weigs in about 9000 ls wet. Pulls great. Make sure you have a good weight dist hitch and sway bars. Set your hitch up right and tow vehicle and trailer level. Drive reasonable. The Titan will pull faster than you should tow. I try to stay around 60 on freeway and set back and relax. Drive in 4th with tow mode on. Get good brake controller { I use a Prodigy}. Sit back and relax. Make sure you have correct tongue weight or you will get too much sway. Stay at 10 to 12 percent of trailer weight. I never tow much fresh water . 20 gallons will give you plenty for use along the road. You can always add a little along the road.

Big-J,

That's a great looking setup you got there. When my tanks are full I'm pulling pretty much the same weight - I'm at 8000-lb loaded but with no liquids. Like TallTexan says, the Titan will pull it faster than I am comfortable going. Keep an eye on your guages and take your time getting there and all will be well. Have fun! Later.

The other guys have it right- Keep it in 4th and manually row to 3rd when you sense a slowdown.
I dont think tranny logic even in tow mode is fast enough to compensate properly I constantly row back between 3rd and 4th.

Once rolling youll be able to roll right along and itll be easy to tow too fast.

Do you have big tow? If not it'll be a bit of a tug coming out of the box.

Get a good levelling hitch with sway controllers. I see you have the prodigy thats a good controller.

Your stock brakes will stop you just fine but youll notice juddering (non-uniform pad imprinting) after towing this rig a while and I would spend some money on better brakes (I did the stillen oems) because youll go nuts with the wiggle after a while.

When your towing that much weight you should change coolants and oils much more frequently, like a full round twice a year. tranny fluid should be changed twice as often as reccomended when under this kind of load or youll get tranny fluid leakage much sooner that if you didnt tow, as the heat will kill the seals without fresh fluid bathing them.

(I notice you didnt include the weight your carrying in the truck)

I have the FS 2600, towed fine but the first long grade I went up the rear end went out (cajon pass). Have you actually weighed the trailer/tounge. The warroirs like many other trailers weigh more than they say especially on the tounge.

If/when I get mine back I will be adding air bags the ride is so bad it makes my wife car sick and I have heard they help.

Not yet.. havnt weighed the tounge yet, i'm going to stop over at T/A travel center
in ontario and check it out. Im a little weary of the pass now.

I did however replace the stock diff cover with a PML DIFF cover, it has
a larger fluid capicity and fins for improved cooling...

I have a FS2600 as well w/ the 05 rear diff cover and synthetic fluids. Rear end is holding fine and doesn't burn fluids but he gas mileage does suck pulling that much weight around so be prepared for that(I get 8 on the flats and 5 in the passes). I will also be adding bags soon cause w/ the FS2600 most of the weight is in the front.

Pismo Trip Hauling a FB2600 Warrior

I'm back from the Pismo Trip..

227 total miles from Fontana to Pismo SVRA.
Avg. 9 MPG.
total weight was about 9000-9250 Lbs
Went up some pretty steep hills.
had to use 3rd gear and 2nd gear at times.
On my way back; that steep hill coming thru Oxnard (Conejo Grade) had to use 2nd gear, 40mph 4-4.5 Thousand RPM's
The Titan pulled the FB2600 pretty well but I just think its a little too much for this truck for long distances and steep grades like the Cajon Pass up the 15 and the grade on the 5fwy going to Gorman. We shall see how it does going up Cajon pass later on this year.
Due to the Gas Mileage being so bad and the frequency of my trips I might look into a getting a Big Diesel Hauler like a HD2500 4x4 Chevy Duramax or something like that.
Anyway... I love my Titan and wanted to keep it but I might due something down the road when push comes to shove.

We shall see....

I will keep posting new trips with the Titan and let you all know.

-Best!

Jason
