I just purchased a 2015 Titan crew cab with the tow package. On my Armada I added Firestone air bags in the rear coil springs. Are the rear shocks on the Titan ample to do the job or should I add something like bigger shocks or something?
I didn't have any trouble with hitting the bump stops towing until I took some rear height out using the PRG drop shackles. My truck was excellent straight out of the box. Today I have a set of airlift bags installed on the rear. Since the bags? Have never touched the stops while towing heavy.
I would leave yours stock and see how you like it.
My 2005 CC Big Tow was OK towing lighter loads - until I got the 20 foot American Hauler Car Carrier (Rated 9990 # Max) and loaded on the Kubota L4600 tractor with implements (6000 pounds of tractor) - The factory shocks were replaced with Fox and a set of Airbags and it has been working out fine. My answer to you is it depends on how heavy you are going to tow - and how fast you expect to drive while towing. You cant have enough control when the load gets heavier than the Titan. And the airbags are key to keeping things at the correct stance.
Thanks for the replies. I will tow a 7500lb. Jayco 29 FT trailer. I usually only do the speed limit, 55 here in Calif. I will take it out in July and see how it does thanks again

I towed a 29 foot TT at that weight for quite a few years on my (still) stock springs with now air bags. Never an issue. Just get your tongue weight right and adjust your tension on the WD hitch appropriately.
thank you for that reply. I haven't hooked it up yet but just wondering about it. Once I hook it up I probably will have to adjust my hitch unless it's the same height as my 2012 Armada that it is set up for now. I was suppose to go out Wednesday but I only have 200 miles on my truck and I want to get at least 500 miles on it before I start to tow anything.
