Hard for me to tell, ever since I have done all of the mods to my truck, I cant seem to keep my foot out of the loud pedal. I always want to hear the K&N and Banks sing. My milage seems to be hanging around 14 mpg, but I am positive its because I have turned the gas pedal in to an ON/OFF Switch. I used to get 17 mpg, but I wasnt inspired to mash the gas pedal when it was in stock form. I am taking a road trip tomorrow, I should be able to let you know (if I can manage to keep my foot out of it).

I am pulling about 10,000lbs of boat. I have the mods done and truely believe they help with towing. I am at about 12-14 city and 17 give or take on the highway. Towing is about 6 -8.
The only mod I've done is to switch to 35" tires, and so far my truck doesn't like it for towing...

With 5000lbs of trailer and another 500lbs of gear in the truck + 400lbs of people, I averaged 13mpg keeping my foot out of it and setting the cruise at 75mph.
That was almost all highway driving. No city traffic. So not too bad if you dont try to pass people all the time while towing.

Does your mileage go up or down?
Thanks
Ours has a positive difference just from changing the exhaust. It's not so much the mileage but that the engine isn't working as hard. Temp gauge hardly moves out of the normal range, now.
We tow a 7000# travel trailer; if I was doing that more often, I might switch permanently to smaller wheels/shorter tires to lower the final drive ratio. The truck has the shorter tires on in the pic I've included here - these are the snow tires. Having the shorter tires on also makes the mileage go up a bit.
However we went from the low 9 MPG towing in our area to right at 10 MPG at 60 MPH average with the regular tires on. I've also changed back from the Airhog to the standard paper filter to get the mileage up a bit. Sort of an old mechanic's trick, but one that only works on fuel-managed vehicles. Did a couple of other things that help on a daily basis.
The way I make the mileage go down is to go and pass those guys with underpowered tow vehicles.
