Putting the Titans towing ability to the test!

Just bought this big girl and had to use the Titan to tow her home. Only about 25mi but happy to report no problems. A little tongue heavy but not to bad.
Oh Yeah Boat and tailer together are about 10000 lbs. Truck had plenty of gitty-up at lights and cruised 65mph no problem.

Nice set up! Is that a 26 foot boat? You sure that boat and trailer weigh 10000 lbs? I would think about 7500 to 8000 at most. Unless you have special axles on that trailer. They usually come with 5000 lb axles but they dont put a boat on that maxes the trailer out. If it had a third axle on it I could see 10000! I sure hope you had brakes on it! I bet that baby looks really nice setten in the water with a couple of.....well you get the picture.

The boat is 27ft, 7300lbs dry, It has 100gal fuel, 30 gal fresh water, 30 gallon dark water all full and a butt load of gear. The trailer weighs in at 1280lbs and has a Max load cap. of 10000lbs with tandem axles. It has 4 wheel disc brakes. The triple axle version has capacity of 15000lbs. If you add up everything you get about 9760lbs give or take. But like I said the truck squated a little but had no trouble pulling although I think my tow mode button is in-op. it lights up but the tranny doesn't seen to shift any different than in normal mode..anyway didn't even need it.

Yea a 27 footer is getting up there. I know at 28 ft you need a triple axle. Glad to hear the Titan handled it good.
