OK, I'm no expert. Why does the front sit lower? My assumption is that part of the reason may be to help keep things level when there is a load in the bed or on the hitch when towing, which causes the rear end to squat some. Am I correct. I like the looks of a level truck much more and I'm considering the PRG kit for my 4X4, but I do not want to do anything to make my boat towing any worse this summer. Any advice or experience from those with a leveling kit that also tow?

Re: Any disadvantages to leveling kit when towing?
You are correct. You can go to www.timbren.com and buy load boosters to keep the rear from sagging with the leveling kit. As I'm sure you know if the back sags, your steering isn't as good and makes driving the truck less safe.

Re: Any disadvantages to leveling kit when towing?
I know this is an old post but I have the same question. Since the 4x4 is a 2" lift would there still be enough rake to tow something with a light tongue weight, such as a boat, without the back end of the truck sagging? I know my truck squats about an inch when I hook the boat up to it, but I don't have the leveling kit yet so I'm not sure how it'll look with it leveled.
Re: Any disadvantages to leveling kit when towing?
I'm a 2WD, but.....I have the 2.5" on the front, 1" on the back. I tow a 6-6500lb trailer. I get a bit of sag, but not much. If I didn't have the block on the back.....it'd sag too much. Even with the W/D hitch.

Re: Any disadvantages to leveling kit when towing?
Thanks for the info. My boat only weighs 2300 lbs including trailer, add a full tank of gas and some gear and i'm looking at maybe 2700 lbs. Even so it still dips the back just enough for oncoming traffic to think I have my brights on.

Re: Any disadvantages to leveling kit when towing?
I did the Fabtech 6" lift with Firestone airbags in the rear for when I tow my 7k lb TT. Makes a ton of difference. Before my lift I had the Deaver spring pack and the PRG 2.5" blocks in the rear and DR coilovers in front. Rake was crazy but it was the only way to tow. Now I hit a switch and she's level.
BTW, my Firestones ride great under load.
