Headed out for a long tow... again!

We'll we leave Saturday AM for another long drive from San Diego to Lake Powell, Utah. Straight up the I-15, I can usually do it in 11 hours - it's about 650 miles. I'm towing a little over 8,000 lbs.

This will be the 7th time we've made the trip with the Titan towing, and we've never had any problems with the truck. Air temps most of the way will be around 100, but we've done the trips with temps as high as 117 with no problems. I only noticed my coolant temp gauge move once, and that was during a long grade - I had the truck in 2nd gear and almost redlining for about 30 minutes straight. I backed off and the temps quickly returned to normal.

On the first trip, I quickly baked all of the paint off my diff cover, and the dealer gave me a new finned model under warranty.

If you're on the I-15 north, give me a honk as you try to pass me...
