Re: Trailer Left Turn Signal/left brake light not working
I have had several erratic lights not working issues, and each and every stinking time it comes back to a bad connesction between the trailer's pigtail and the Titan's trailer plug. Sometimes it has been the Nissan male socket and others the trailer's female plug. I now just make a habit of cleaning them both with a quick spritz of brake cleaner and a wire brush for the male and a pocket knife scrape on the female.
With luck something that simple will tturn out to be your problem, I know in my case, each and every time it boiled down to a dirty connection.

Derwud said, "Check for a blown fuse first, if blown fuse check your trailer connectors and trailer wiring...
Prodigy has nothing to do with the brake lights...
Has your truck had the BCM harness recall?"
I hooked up an older trailer and the lights worked for a few minutes and then stopped. The left side flasher would not work on the trailer or truck. I can't rem. for sure but I think the brake was not working also. I went to the dealer and they replaced the fuse in the BCM harness. This took about 30 seconds to do. I said, "How did you do that?" The service guy had me crawl under the dash and he showed me the fuses. They are directly above the gas pedal under the dash on my 05 XE. I think they added these fuses so that an incorrectly wired trailer would not burn up something important.

I trailered for a full season without issue before having the BCM work done, so I don't think there is any problem with the connectors.
Also, the left side brake and blinker will work (temporarily) after changing the fuse, but will blow during the next time out...something that leads me to believe its not trailer connectors.
Re: Trailer Left Turn Signal/left brake light not working
I just found out i have the same problem with my 06 titan, only mine is with the right side stop and blinker on my trailer. I replaced the taillights on my trailer with led's and still have the same problem, thought it would of fixed it. Well good thing i looked in here, i'm gonna have to check and see if i have a blown fuse then. I hope that is all that is wrong with it. I have a camping trip next weekend.
Re: Trailer Left Turn Signal/left brake light not working
My '05 LE CC has the same left blinker/light problem. BCM was fine on mine (no recall). I changed out light bulb and fixture. Wiggled all wires on trailer and it came on. It works only sometimes. No blown fuses anywhere. Something is not working properly?????????
Re: Trailer Left Turn Signal/left brake light not working
Well, after going through this thread and all the links in here. I found out the my 06 cc only had 2 relays and not 3 how they are suppose to have. Once you take the cover for relays off it indicates 3 relays needed for tow, and the other 2 for Lh turn, and Rh turn. Went to the dealer and bought the second blue relay and all works fine. I did not see any fuses under the dash, so i hope that nothing burns out. Good for TITAN TALK FORUMS.
Re: Trailer Left Turn Signal/left brake light not working
Just a note to say thanks to the group and report on my experience. I searched for info on non-functioning trailer light connectors and found what I needed here. This was the most informative thread for my use, so I'm posting here to revive it. Particular thanks to Sammy and Best.
So, my symptoms: only the left turn output was working (tested at 4-way flat output of 7-to-4-way connector. BTW, no big tow pkg, but a Nissan hitch + connector)
What I found & did:
1. 30A fusible link in box by firewall on passenger side burned out -- replaced it. Result: no change.
2. 10A mini fuse under steering column burned out -- replaced it. Result: right turn now works. Still no running lights.
3. 10A mini fuse (in box with fusible link) burned out -- replaced it. Result: running lights now work.
I probably wouldn't have found the cleverly hidden fuses beside the steering column without help from this group!
So how did I blow three fuses? Seems like I would remember being struck by lightning...
So now my lights work again, and I know several places to go looking for fuses if/when they go out again.

Re: Trailer Left Turn Signal/left brake light not working
Left brake / blinker update:
I took my "05 Titan in for its 30k service and spoke with a mechanic and service advisor about the problem. The mechanic indicated that the fuses were doing what needed to be done and there must be a problem with the trailer. One service advisor suggested trying a 15 amp fuse (normally a 10 in the BCM harness). I did this and trailered this weekend. All works fine now. No blown fuse. Hmmmmm...
Hopefully, I'm not doing anything to damage the BCM...
Re: Trailer Left Turn Signal/left brake light not working
Thank You For The Information Provided. I Was Able To Fix My Problem. Trailer Left Turn Signal And Brake Light Did Not Work. One Of The Fuses Under The Steering Wheel Was Blown. I Had No Idea There Were Fuse Under There. Owners Manual Says Nothing About Them. Kind Of Difficult To Get To Them Or See Them. But I Knew What To Look For Because Of This Site. I Was Traveling Out Of Town With My Trailer. Had My Laptop Went Online To Site, Searched For My Problem And Found The Answer. Thank You Very Much !!!
Re: Trailer Left Turn Signal/left brake light not working
Hey guys I have the same problem with me 04, the left turn and brake do not work. However I have checked under my drivers side dash and cannot find the fuses you are talking about! If I'm sitting in the drivers seat which side of the steering wheel are they located? I have even pulled off the front facia and cannot see any fuses! All I see are two blue relays on the left side of the drivers compartment.

Last weekend, someone at the campground we were visting told me the left brake light on my trailer was out. So I replaced the buld, and no change...still out. Its a dual filament bulb...the trailer running light works, but no left brake or left blinker. HMMM...
So we did some testing...we hooked my bro-in-law's 05 Titan up to my trailer...trailer works. We hooked my Titan up to his trailer, and same problem occurrs...no left blinker/left brake. So its the truck...
I run a Prodigy controller...could a loose wire in the Prodigy hookup cause a left side only brake/blinker light problem? I don't think there is anything about blinkers etc in those wires. I'm thinking there might be a problem in the connection from the Titan harness to the Prodigy, since on my way home tonight (from camping), my Prodigy was telling me I had no connection (as if there was no trailer plugged into the 7-pin), yet the running lights, and right blinking/brake lights worked on the travel trailer.
Good thing it was a short ride home...
Any ideas?
sounds like you missing the relay for the right hand lights. look under hood behind battery and see if all the relays are there, if not swap them and see if trailer lights swaps too.
