prodigy cable

I have a '04 KC XE. I understand the under dash plug for a controller is not the same one that is on the other titans. could someone who knows what the XE plug looks like take a look at the prodigy page where the various cables are listed and tell me if one of them might fit - most likely, the toyota:

thanks!

Re: prodigy cable

I'm pretty sure it has been determined that the 04 XE KC Titans are the only ones that are not prewired for the brake controller. The plug is the same for all Titans, I just don't think you have it.

Re: prodigy cable

Some of the early '04 XE's did not come pre-wired, to check if yours is one of those go to this thread.

Brake Cntroller hook up.

Also check at the rear bumper to see if you have a round plug with 7 wires going to it. It will be on the left frame rail area near the bumper bracket.

If your truck is not pre-wired, they have kits to install the 7 wire plug and it's pretty easy.

Also if it is not pre-wired, just use the universal harness that comes with the Prodigy.

Re: prodigy cable

ok, comparing photos, it does look like the prodigy toyota connector plug will fit the 04 KC XE 2WD truck for plug and play. thanks to all. may have to move some wires around in it but I think it will make it work without splicing.

Re: prodigy cable

Um no. If you have that white plug under your dash, get the Nissan plug and play adaptor only.

Yeah what he said. ^^^ If you have the prewiring, then get the right plug.

Re: prodigy cable

ok, got it...the plug I am looking for has been identified by "carter"

Titan XE's are pre-wired for a brake controller

does anyone have a pic of that particular plug?

hey derwud, what comes in the hitch kit? does it provide the thing the ball attaches to also?

thanks in advance!

Hitch, 7 pin connector, 2 or three relays.

Best to measure your trailer ball height with the trailer level and get the right drop shank at wal-mart.
