When I got my truck I was told it had the extendable factory towing mirrors on it. I don't think it does because I can't pull them out. How can I tell if they are? Are they real hard to pull out? I have not pulled real hard on them because I didn't want to damage anything. The truck does have to big tow package to it.
The extendable mirrors are more oblong up and down. They have two strut bars connecting them to the door. The mirror is a two piece design with a convex section on the lower portion. All BT Titan's have the mirrors except for XE models which have the normal mirrors.
That's the mirrors I have. Someone told me they pull out to make them longer. Is this true about these mirrors? If not I need to find some type of mirror that will let me see around my toy hauler. Right now the only way I can see around it is by moving the truck from one side of the road to the other.
That is true they pull out. You need to pull harder. They are good and tight so they don't move on their own.

I have pulled hard on them a number of times, but I guess I just didn't pull hard enough. I just went out and grabbed them with two hands and it moved out. Man I can't thank you guys enough. If we ever run into you camping the drinks are on me.

This is hilarious. Not picking on you with this statement Tom! It's funny because it reminded me of when I went to the dealer to pick up my truck. The GM came by when I was looking over my truck. He said I was going to love it and pointed to the one he was driving. It had the BT mirrors so I thought cool! I can ask him if there's a trick to get them out further. He just kind of gave me this confused look. He said I don't know, I'll go get my parts guy. While he's gone, I kind of "hug" the mirrors and give them a tug, and Presto! Now, back comes the GM and I show him. His comment was "Well I'll be d@mned!" He didn't know how to get them out further either, so don't feel bad Tom.
