Stumped, lost, and a headache...
I'm not one of them people that just starts axin' questions off the bat.
I have searched an searched
read forums an manufacturer sites
an I still have no idea if this will work.
UVW (Unloaded Vehicle Weight): 5855 lbs.
GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating): 8600 lbs.
Hitch Weight: 1040 lbs.
Now the Nissan 2006 Towing guide says 940 max hitch weight.
Is an equalizing hitch gonna make this workable?
( 2007 4x2 SE w/Tow )
Thanks for any guidance.

NO!
You are 100 lbs over the hitch weight before you load the trailer. A Weight distributing hitch does not change the limit, it simple adds an upward twisting moment to the receive to transfer some of the load to the front axle. The weight does not disappear.
great information here..

Is this a Toy Hauler? That's a lot of tongue weight for a trailer less then 6000 lbs...do plan on haulimg the max weight rating?

Re: Stumped, lost, and a headache...
Yah, it's a Toy Hauler.
I read that whole thread
an the headache's worse...
Seems like if you loaded the garage
it would take weight off the hitch.
Got an email into Equal-i-zer to see what they say.
The next question is
can you increase the Hitch Weight Capacity
with airbags.
This is almost as bad as The Neverending Oil Debate...
