Yeah, it's kinda like asking how big a dog is. Well, what kind of dog? I think the popular route to go is the Optima. When mine dies, that's what I'll do. I think they run on the upper end of that range. Like RNP says, probably a couple hundred bucks give or take. You'll just have to find the flavor that suits your budget at that time. I haven't a clue how much an OEM replacement is. I know I wouldn't put another in though. They only go a couple of years at best it seems.

The challenge with our trucks is that the positive terminal is the reverse of what is typical.
Optima's are great batteries, but in my opinion, Odyssey's are tough to beat. They are true, dual purpose batteries in that they are both starting and deep cycle. I just bought two, PC1700MJT's for my truck. One for the bed as an auxiliary battery and the other for under the hood. Shop around and you can find them for as low as $205 plus shipping of $25-$40 depending on where you are.
Nice thing about this model of Odyssey is it slips right in to the spot where your factory, 710 battery is. It is slightly larger, but MUCH more powerful. Also, the positive terminal is on the correct side and position on the battery so your OEM positive terminal slides right down on it with no modification.
You can check out the Odyssey battery I bought at the link below. They make quite a few models with this one rated at 875 CCA's at 0F and 1700 PHCA's!!!!

I would be more interested in reserve capacity than cca. Any good battery you buy today has the cranking amps you need. Reserve capacity lets you use your electric toys ( radio, CD player, 12v power tools, inverters) longer. I got caught twice with a dead battery camping just listening to the radio.

If ur looking for crankin amps...optima is not the way to go... I just recently had to replace mine and unless I was gonna spend over 200 bucks then just get another nissan battery...
its hard finding another replacement with the terminals on the side of the battery AND with the "reverse polarity"
Mine cost me about 100 bucks with 2 year replacement warranty from the dealer... fits perfectly of course as well

I Just Order The D35 Optima Battery And I Have Big Tow
sorry for you... you should have ordered an Odyssey Battery. Odysseys are superior to Optimas. you would have to install 2 reds and 1 yellow optimas to equal what 1 Odyssey can do.

This is all the power I need, I wanted a sealed Battery, little less $$$ than the Odyssey, fit the factory hold down with no mods and not so damn heavy :-)
yellow top D35
