Re: Do I have tow pkg ?

yes you can pull a 18 ft boat, but i doubt it is 3000# more like 1800#
if you truck feels to bogged down at highway speeds, use the tow0haul mode

Re: Do I have tow pkg ?

Next time you take it into the dealership for service, ask them why you have the switch...I'd love to hear what they say!

Maybe it's the missing VDC off switch from kirk94 truck...LOL j/k

Re: Do I have tow pkg ?

The boat doesn't weigh 3000# but, when I go crawfishing I can put 1000-1500# of crawfish in boat. I will ask when I go in for service, I have a couple of issues with truck only 29000 miles so it,s still under warranty.

Re: Do I have tow pkg ?

ALL Titans have a Tow mode button (I THINK). That does not mean you have the Tow package though..You'll need to see if you have the HD battery, big tow mirrors, tranny temp gauge, and receiver hitch..none of which your truck has, so you don't have the big tow package! you can still tow like 7400 pounds I think

Re: Do I have tow pkg ?

May sound unrelated but I think its relevant. My work truck is a chevy 1500 it does not have a tow package (can only tow 6400#'s) but it does have a Tow/Haul switch. I usually use it when I'm going through the mountains.

Re: Do I have tow pkg ?

The dealer can remove the hitch, and maybe swap mirrors, but the trans guage will stay.
I'm pretty sure all the models(at least SE & LE) have the Tow Mode feature.

Re: Do I have tow pkg ?

My 06 XE has the button too. I did think it was odd that it had the button, but no hitch, but then I did my homework. lol

Nope, it sounds like you don't...odd though?
No such thing as a big tow button. All titans come with a tow mode switch.
