equalizer hitch ?

i have a non tow 05 titan. I have a curt class III receiver that i think is 5,500 hundred tow limit. I have been talkin to this guy about this auction. This ib basically what he told me and was wondering if this is what i need. Due to i might need to tow 6,000 or a lil more every once and awhile for trips across my state of PA. Any help with this equalizer thing or if this is a good price or if it does convert it to a class IV. Thanks

Hi there,

Basically, this distributes some of the weight to the front axle so the back is not overloaded, this is why you can allow the class III to be converted into Class 4 because it distributes weight to the front axles. Only other options you have for a high load capacity is a hitch like a 5th wheel type reciever which is bolted into your truck bed.

Thanks, -Eddie

Re: equalizer hitch ?

This is what you really need to buy:

It is the way to go if you are looking to tow over 5,000 lbs.
