2004 trailer wire issue (recall?)

I am getting ready to install a trailer hitch and wiring harness and I have a vague recollection, somewhere in the dim shadows of my beer degraded brain, of a warning about possible fire issues when installing a trailer harness?? Was this a recall of some sort? Is there an upgrade available from the dealer?

Mine was taken in about 1 1/2 years ago and fixed under warranty..Not sure exactly what they done, but you could call the stealership and find out.....

Just to add, i was not having any problems before....I got a letter about it and took it in to the stealership.....Good Luck

I took mine in a few weeks ago and had it fixed. Something to do with a fault ground I believe.

I was having all kinds of problems with mine. My trailer lights would do mysterious things and my Prodigy brake controller was giving me all kinds of weird error readings. Took her in, had them replace whatever it was they were supposed to and now everything works fine.
