Gave the new airbags a test today with exactly 2000 lbs in the bed of the truck. Here are before and after shots. Driving it felt not much different than hauling 800 lbs with no airbags. I had 80 psi in them when I took this pic and deflated them to 5 psi on the second pic.

heres a question...how much lift do you get with your bags?
i'm considering a lift in the future and want to do it on bags so i can adjust my truck ride height, etc... plus it'll just be tits...
I got the firestone with the onboard compressor, and it will raise the back (my guess) almost 2 inches. But if you run it with enough pressure to lift it to full height it rides like a b*tch. BTW the bags aren't meant to lift, just to compensate for a load in the bed.

If I put 100 PSI which is the limit for these it would be a little over a 2 inch lift. But you need to consider the ride. It gets very bumpy/stiff without a load.
This is with no air.
This is with 80 PSI

Nice! That's the "contractor's leveling kit", right? Just pile it on until it's level with the front!
LOL I think I still have some more to go if I air them up to 100!!!!!

i was watching TRUCKS on Spike tv and they did a lift using air bags... of course they did a body lift as well making it a monster... i'm not real sure what to so with lifting my ride... it seems like it'd be easier to just do a straight 4 or 6 inch lift with no air... i don't really tow anything yet, but my dad wants to move his 26' welcraft with an 11' beam... not sure bout the weight though.
i'm still in the "designing in my head" phase of things. eventually i'll pull it all together, just time and money.. i have big ideas for the truck.. being on TT is helping me execute them!
