Anyone have this Toy Hauler? We are looking at the 26FS...
Dry weight is 6,600
Hitch Weight is 1,100
We would be using it to bring our lifted Golf Cart camping.
Lots of great advice on this board...naturally we have the tow pkg. and are thinking of getting a Reese hitch. We travel light other than our cart.
First of all, why would you gauge weather you can tow something based on it's empty weight? Don't you want to have stuff in the trailer?
Second, your numbers are off...Trailer manufactures use a dry weight number based on a trailer that is bone stock no options, no fluids. That includes the hitch weight.
Your trailer should also have a GVWR which is the max it can weigh loaded, what is that number, and don't you agree that would be the number to use when determining if you could safely tow it?

The other thing you need to consider is overall legnth.. I tow a Weekend Warrior Super Lite FS2300 and as much as I would like the extra 2 feet, I feel a 25 footer would be pushing it to much when considering legnth of trailer vs. Legnth of Truck, the other factor in sway.
I checked the site and the GVWR is 9900lbs.

Not into the lifted cart thing.......BUT I am impressed with the Rinos...We took one for a cruise out in Lucerne Valley that had a set of pipes and long travel and Fox res shocks.
That thing went everywhere....I can see why they are so popular!

Just been there done that with the whole trailer thing. Go to RV.net and look under the toyhauler forum and you will find a list of Toyhaulers manufactures and you should be able to find one that fits your needs and the Titans abilities.

So are you saying that this is too heavy even though I would be careful not to load it up?

There is no such thing as being careful about loading it up. Even if you were, you would still end up at or near your GVWR... Sorry... Look at my Signature line and you will see what I tow and I feel I am at the comfortable limit of the Titan.. You want to go 3 feet and 2300 lbs above that. The truck can do it, but you and the truck will be strained. As it is, my wife is comfortable driving our rig and that to me says, we are good to go...

I have a 2007 Coachman Adrenaline Lite 26FS. It has been used 1 time. Has many options including awning, 4000 Onan Gen., 25 gal. fuel station, 1 flat screen TV in living room, sleeps 6-8 people, smooth fiberglass sides. MSRP was $38,000. I am asking 24,995 OBO Call me at 1-386-299-8081 ****
