Sorry for bringing up a thread from the dead, but this thread seemed to have the most/best info in it and though it would be good to add to it.
So, I'm currently trying to install the RAS and my first issue has to do with u-bolt length. With the RAS bracket AND bump stop centering plate in place I don't have enough length on the u-bolts. There are still a few threads in the nut that aren't used, so what did you folks do to resolve this? Or do I have odd u-bolts? Hellllllp!
so your U-bolts are/were too short? That is strange, mine fit ok, yeah they did shorten up a bit but they were fine.. Make sure that you have the bracket straight or the bolts won't line up right. I have had mine on with ablolutely no problems now and love it. Hope this helps or if not hope you were able to at least get longer ubolts and get it up and running.

The u bolts were to short on mine also. I did call roadmaster and they said that on some models you have to buy longer ones. I also took the whole setup back off. The rear sagged to much with my toyhauler hooked up to it. I had to go with air bags. They were the heavier ones and I liked the ride improvement.

Something isn't right. The plates that mount on the leaf spring pack ate only like 3/8" thick if even that. I mounted mine on after I did a PRG minilift with new U Bolts but I seem to remember there being plenty of thead between the nut and end of the U bolt when I removed them.
I've got to agree with Smoke. Something ain't right. I had plenty of threads left on my u bolts after I installed my RAS.

Well, it's not like leaf springs and mounts are overly complex. Nothing is "wrong" other than there are apparently different u-bolts Nissan uses. Before I started pulling things apart I thought I might run into this as there weren't very many threads sticking out below the nut when I started but I thought I'd give it a shot and see if I got lucky. Nope. Oh well.
