Car Trailer question

Hi All,

I hope this is not OT, but I have an 07 Titan with the big tow package. I am looking for a trailer to tow a car, and am curious if it needs to have brakes on both axels or is just one is ok? I will be using a weight distribution hitch with this...

Re: Car Trailer question

Most likely you can get away with 1 axle. If it were me I would spent the extra $200-$300 and get both with brakes.

Re: Car Trailer question

My 2 axle trailer only has brakes on one axle.
It can carry 5400 pounds.

Re: Car Trailer question

I will be towing between 5500 & 6000 lbs. I am actually looking at a used trailer and hence the question. I am also wondering how much trouble it would be to retrofit brakes on the second axle...
