Re: Pics of fifth wheel set up

I see now that it is a Reese hitch with a adapter of some sort. Was the adapter a special order part?

Hello,

Attached is a pic of my 5th wheel and truck. It's a 30' Week-End Warrior Superlite (Toy Hauler). 7000# empty weight. The hitch is a Husky 16K# manual slider. I had the hellwig rear springs on but found it could not level out the truck. I now have the ride rite air springs on which level the truck out with about 30 psi.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but....

I can see that the 5th wheel hitch is made By Reese, but who made/makes that style of Kinping extender? and where did you get it?

Hope you don't have anything go out. If nissan saw this they would void your warranty. The dry weight on a toy box is without options like fuel cell and generator. You know you are over weight once you put water gas and toys.

Re: Pics of fifth wheel set up

I loaded up for my first trip and found that I was 500 pounds over on the rear axle, 300 pounds under on the front axle and 500 pounds over on the CGVWR. This was measured on a CAT truck scale. I've removed 500 pounds and will check again next time I go out. I know that I've removed at least 250 pounds directly off the rear axle (firewood, gasoline out of the bed and removed the factory tow hitch) and expect to be at the 3800 pounds rear axle limit per the door sticker. I've also slightly raised the fifth wheel hitch to leverage more weight onto the trailer wheels while still towing level.
