Running Light Problem on Trailer

During the recent wild Fires in San Diego I was evacuating some horses and hooked up the trailer like I always would. Lighting was fine until I realized that the cable was rubbing the ground. It wore all the way through all but one wire.

I cut the bad part out and reconnected it all but the running lights would not work. Everything else did, just not running lights.

After an hour of screwing with it, I determined it was likely the fuse, I found the fuse behind the battery and it was blown. I replaced the fuse but the RL still do not work. The fuse is good, I tested and replaced it.

I tested the connector and I am not getting juice to the connector but again, the fuse is good. Any Ideas?

Re: Running Light Problem on Trailer

Hmm, I guess I should have asked my wife first.......

Just in case you run into something like this or similar, here is how I fixed it......

My cd got jammed once and the stereo stopped working. I had to disconnect the battery for a minute and reconnect it. Something about resetting the computer or something like that fixed it.

Well, I disconnected the battery and reconnected it. Running lights now work.

Interesting, I would have suspected another blown fuse somewhere.
