1000 or 1200 lbs bars?
Hi all,
I have a 2008 Jayco 26 G2 BHS with a dry tongue weight for 740# and dry trailer weight of 6210. Thats just about 11 percent tougue weight. I rented one last summer prior to buying and was loaded for a 10 day trip at approx 7500 #. So my question is when I buy my own equalizer hitch should I get the 1000's or 1200lbs bars? I do have the Firestone Airbags and P3 Prodigy Brake controller already. Thanks for you imput. |

I would say the 1200lbs bars would work fine for you. I had this same dilemma when I was purchasing mine. I called Equalizer and discussed it them and they said I could use either the 1000lbs or 1200lbs, I decided to go with the 1200lbs just in case I ever upgraded to a larger truck.
