Couple questions on hitch's

Hey there guys/gals
First off very glad to be here as i just picked up my 06 titan couple days ago and loving it so far. Thing is i need to install a hitch so i can pull my trailer. I looked around but still have a couple questions.
Im guessing i need a hitch, someone posted this a site to etrailer looks good for the price. and also the relays as i pooped open my fuse box and there is nothing there but 3 empty slots. I looked under the bumper yesterday and noticed that there is a 7pin harness there (i think its 7) so i dont need anything else right?
am i missing anything else.

thanks
sanee

Re: Couple questions on hitch's

Get the OEM receiver hitch. It has all the relays with it. It will save you a lot of trouble getting the relays. Besides, by the time you add the cost of the relays to an aftermarket hitch the cost is the same.

Re: Couple questions on hitch's

You can get the factory hitch online. I bought mine from one of our supporting vendors. It was cheaper than the dealer even with shipping.

Re: Couple questions on hitch's

just went to the dealership to get a quote on how much this would be and...

229 for the hitch
32 for the relay
54 for the hitch ball
13 for the trailer ball

granted i dont need the last two as i have em but its still gonna cost me $261 plus tax. also dealership said that its 4 relays that i need and if i get the relays only it would be $120ish for em.

any help guys

Re: Couple questions on hitch's

Supporting vendors are listed next to the various forums on the forums page. CourtesyParts would be a good place to start.

Re: Couple questions on hitch's

I bought mine at an agricultural supply store for around $150 or so. Easy to install.

If it is an XE, there is a harness hook up in the dash for electric brakes. Its tucked way up under the dash. When I bought my 04 new, 2 dealers didn't even know it. Found it out the hard way.

i know its easy to install. i dont need the hook up for electric brakes as i just have a single axel trailer. i just would like to know where everybody says they are getting their oem hitches and relays at these fantastic prices.

Re: Couple questions on hitch's

I bought my hitch from a 4x4 shop for $150.00 I then ordered all three relays from the stealership. My boat has a flat four hook up so i bought the connections I needed and installed the hookups up out of sight behind the rear bumper. Installed everything myself for bouts $220.00 The hitch is made by Hidden Hitch with a tube design and I think looks alot cleaner than the big bulky square design from the Factory. Good luck and happy haulin!

Re: Couple questions on hitch's

I paid $190 for the hitch and relays delivered to my door and installed it all myself...but that was several years ago. Check around for the best price.
