Truck Lowered (want To Add Riderite Air Bags)

I have lowered my truck (removed leaf spring) and want to add the riderite air bags. Have any of you done this with the lowered application? Do you guys know if the airbags when empty will make my truck sit any higher or ride rougher. Thanks to all you guys wealth of knowledge!!!

Re: Truck Lowered (want To Add Riderite Air Bags)

I just tried to install the ride rite bags on my lowered titan- i have 2" lowering leafs in the back- front is stock and i"m on 22's. With the drop in the rear the bags fully compressed looked like they would raise my truck about a half inch- and since you have to keep some air in them- it would defeat the purpose of the lowering leafs. I contacted firestone and they said it was not meant and would not work properly on a lowered application. The main problem is the brackets they come with- if I could modify the brackets they may work. Right now I'm running air shocks to ease the squatting when i'm towing my enclosed 12x7 trailer with my motorcycles in it.

Am looking for alternatives to the air shocks so any ideas would be great.
