Can anybody tell me if the BT comes with better leaf springs or not . I have the 04 SE CC w/o BT option. I have read almost every thread on this and there are several that say yes and some that say no. I called the dealer where I bought my truck and they don't know squat. I am trying to figure if the only diff in towing capacity it the better gear ratio or if the suspesion is actually stronger.

So basically, the extra 2k of towing capacity comes from the gear ratio? So if I have load "E" rated tires and ride rite air bags, wouldn't that in reality give me the same towing capacity as the BT option, regardless of what the MFG specs say?

The only REAL difference would be the gearing. The other things ike heavy duty battery, tranny temp guage etc are great...but don't add to the towing abilities.

Thanks Everybody, that's what I thought after checking everything I could find. I am not really looking to overload my vehicle but I am wanting to tow a travel trailer from 26 to 28 feet. I don't want to go any longer than that.
