Does tire size matter??

I drive a great '06 LE Off Road. This year I will be towing a new 23' TT. Will I get better gas mileage if I change out my off road tires for some different tire and wheels

If milage is a concern, then DO NOT go to say a 33" off-road tire...I don't think that changing the OE off-road tires to say factory style and size "P" tire will improve milage, but when those tires do wear out, that's what you may want.
Do you need off-road tires?....If so, then replace them with the same size tire to insure you don't lose milage...

Like Lou said, stay the same size. That way, the only difference you might have would be due only to any increase in weight of the tire. I'm replacing my stock crapyears with the same size in the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos on Wednesday and don't expect any significant change in MPG.

And by the way, Bridgestone is offering a $100 rebate on them right now, so I'm getting the Revos for $637, out the door with the road hazard warranty, and then take $100 bucks off of that for the rebate. My final price is $537.

If you have the OR package, then you already have the 285/70/17 tires which are a 33" tire. You don't bother with mileage when towing....it's not going to be good anyhow. You can change tire size and/or gearing but at the expense of towing ability. A 23 footer shouldn't be bad though. I get between 7 and 10 MPG with my 32+ footer.
