How Great the Titan is !!

Over the last 2 weeks I have been working on my Titan getting it ready to start pulling our new to us 26' Fleetwood Mallard. I did not get the BT pkg as this was to primarily be my wifes daily driver and we used to have an old '78 Class C. But now we are upgrading to the TT and have to prepare the truck.

So in the 2 weeks I have put on a PML diff cover, installed a Prodigy BC, installed Airbags and compressor, and just changed out mirrors to BT Mirrors. And although these are not difficult or complicated tasks, you know how it is when you are working on your own truck in your driveway.... everything goes wrong!

Well I am here to say that this Titan Truck is great to work on. Everything goes as planned and everything fit and nothing broke etc etc. This has been the best experience of working on my vehicles ever.

Just wanted to say that

Re: How Great the Titan is !!

I've done quite a bit of towing with it just nothing this size. When I first bought it I had to tow a Dodge Caravan on a trailer up to SC, drop that one off and pick up a Ford Aerostar and bring it back. I literally could not tell it was back there. That amazed me as I have been towing for close to 30 years and have never had a truck tow as well as this does, and I have owned a lot of trucks.

Re: How Great the Titan is !!

wow you tow a lot. Thats good to know. I can barely back up my own titan but I like going forward much better.....LOL

Thanks for the props. well as for mods I'm pretty much fully modded. Cams, Uprev, headers, 07 intake, volant G1, custom banks exhaust, PGM 90mm TB and nitrous.

Best bang for the buck is UpRev, intake exhaust headers. The second stage of go fast is cams nitrous...nothing can beat me in the titan world except maybe another simuliar modded titan.

Re: How Great the Titan is !!

EXCELLENT !! And I thought mine was fairly fast. Were you on nitrous when you smoked that mustang? And what is an Uprev?

Re: How Great the Titan is !!

yeah, I've just begun to spin wrenches on my Titan after almost 3 years of ownership... (other then the routine maintenance) and I have to admit it's not a tough vehicle to work on...

Just added a leveling kit this passed weekend... other then having one stuck shock bolt, it went pretty smoothly... good thing I had an air hammer

Re: How Great the Titan is !!

Nah that was NA naturally aspirated on 89 octane fuel. The N20 is quicker by about 1 sec.

A can of PB spray would have helped especailly about a week before.

Re: How Great the Titan is !!

Thanks for the link.
Sometime later this year I am going to Gainsevillle for the drags. I want to run my Titan just to see how fast she is. Should be fun.

yeah... didn't plan that far ahead and drove 400 miles the day before.. i have to say that was the hardest part, other then realigning the uca bolt.

cleaned the bolt really well and put on some anti-seize. I'm sure I'll have to take it out again sooner or later!
