18ft Skeeter (dry weight of 1440 lbs), Mercury 150 XRi6, Full tank of gas (30 gallons)
Approx weight: 2100 lbs
Put the truck in tow mode and let the tranny do the rest. The tranny temp gauge needle stayed in the middle and it did not feel like I was even pulling a boat!!! The only thing that made me scratch my head was attempting to see the trailer AFTER launch!!!! I had to put the tailgate down and after that it was cake.
This truck is by far the BEST towing truck I have ever rode in.
Pulled home a 19' Wellcraft Air Slot 190 this past week. Dry weight at 1700 lbs plus the trailor which is very heavy duty. I was guessing to be in the 3500lb - 4000lb range as well. I never really had a problem with power although the trailor didn't have brakes so I was a little scared about having to stop fast.

Forgot about that!!!!!!
add 500 (conservative) to the estimate and you get 2600 lbs.
I love my truck for towing my boat. Tow a 21' centurion wakeboard boat and it doesn't have a problem at all even being lifted. tows so much better then my gmc did and that was with 3 quads that weighed less then the boat.
I also pull an 18' Skeeter bass boat with a 150 HP Evinrude, but it was made in 1985. I have my big tow mirrors adjusted in the other set program so that I can see the trailer better, but I need to change the stock tongue jack out to a swing-away type so that I can lower the tailgate when others are backing my truck and trailer down the ramp. When old gear-style jack is raised, I don't have enough clearance from the tailgate to turn, and when the jack is lowered enough to clear the tailgate, the wheel is almost of the ground. I guess that I will eventually break down and spend $40 at Bass Pro. Other than that my Titan pulls the boat wonderfully, and it's a good looking combination as well.
I am looking to purchase a new boat and want something in the 25' - 30' range. I rele like the Noridic 28' Heat that weighs 4600lbs plus trailer so i estimate the weight around 5500 lbs. My question is what problems if any would i have towing this boat (tow distance could be as much as 1000 miles)?

Make sure the trailer brake system is adjusted correctly....Boats have an advantage over most other trailers in that they are pretty much aerodynamic as opposed to towing a "brick" thru the air...
30 ft boat only about 4600 lbs?...

4600 pounds for a 30Ft??? My 25 Walkaround weighs 6300 pounds...... Granted our trucks tows well, I would not consider a longer boat than 28 foot with our trucks.

I agree, I don't even know it's back there, lifted and all...
FLA-Titan, you ever go over to Peanut Island? I'm over there almost every weekend.
We are regulars there as well on Sundays. We anchor off on the inlet (The family side ) of Peanut Island. I am one of the many 25 White walkarounds anchored there, but usually the only SeaFox brand there.

We'll go on Saturday or Sunday, depends if the kids are with their grandparents or not. Saturday's with the kids, Sunday's without...
I usually go to the north side of the island...My boat is in my signature, I've only seen one or two others like mine out there.
We were on the sandbar without the kids the Sunday before Memorial Day, what a zoo.
EDIT: I'm trying to upload a picture, but for some reason, it's not letting me from work...
I pull a 19.5 ft Tahoe bow rider. Total weight of the package is about 4500 lbs. The Titan pulls it better than my 3/4 ton Chevy did.

4610 lbs is the dry weight per specs i read...the boat holds 86 gallons in fuel but i have no intentions of towing with a full tank

The 08 Rims look good on your XE, by the way. Ok, back to the thread...
