Hello all! Anyone out there have the Lance 825 camper on their Titan? I am concerned about the dry weight as well as how stable the truck is when it has this camper on. I would also be pulling an 18 foot runabout boat. Thank you in advance for your input!

Reason: Adding information
Are you a crew cab or king cab? 04-07 or 08+ (swb or lwb)? Based on what I found you'll be over the carrying capacity with just the camper (1620 lbs). Add in passengers, luggage and a trailer and you're looking for trouble.

I have a king cab (LE series) 4x4, 6' 6" bed on a 2004 model. I also think that I'll be over the weight limit big time, even with suspension upgrades. Just what I DIDN'T want to hear, but, thought I'd throw it out there.
Any ideas anyone on a camper around my 1255 lb dry weight limit?
Bed campers really kill a 1/2 ton truck, they are heavy and usually eat up all if not most of the trucks rated payload, and the weight is carried really high making them unstable. For those reasons alone, they're better off left to the 3/4 - 1 ton truck domain...
There used to be an Alaska lite weight pop-up bed camper, not much more then a glorified camper shell, but they were light and not tall while driving...not sure if they make something like that anymore...

I have seen quite a few for sale up here in Washington on craigslist the alaskan is really light and popular. I would put on in my truck. I bought a leer and a 28 foot coachmen with slides. Hell I dont have enough time to fish to justify a boat to so thats the responsiblity of the friends. I have the camper they have the boat.
georgem, that's a pretty sharp looking camper. What brand is it? Since your second picture looks like it had rained, how did the camper do in the rain?

It's made by All Terrain Campers....doesn't have all the bells and whistles available on a huge Lance or similar, but the dry weight comes in under 800#, and has all aluminum frame. Like I said, we were concerned about weight issues, both for flexibility for going where we wanted and for wear and tear on the truck itself.
We think the Pop-up camper works great. This one is a Phoenix(1000#) and since the photo date I have installed active suspension and raised the front camper tie downs up about 5". Much better. MPG was about 13.5 depending on my mood.

I looked at Phoenix for a long time...rig looks good on your truck....if you are interested, you might go to wanderthewest.com....there are a number of folks who have pop-ups and like to talk about the ins and outs...I too figure about 13mpg...depending on mood is a good way to put it
I have a Crew Cab and have spent months looking for options. Was about to drive from CA to Co to buy a Hallmark Milner (Cabover Camper anyone used one?)
..but I found a Northstar TC650 locally for much less $$. It's a little heavier, though. As soon as it is mounted I'll post some pics.
Camper looks good. The tie down's can be expensive and a pain to put on depending on the style. Best of luck to you. I also carry a bike on the back for exercise and those little side trips after camp setup.

Nothing "voids" your warranty, not sure why people pick that word to use. Certain things may cause dealers to DENY a specific warranty claim, but they cannot legally VOID your warranty just for adding something.
