IPT makes alot of great things..you can go with a tranny cooler, valve body also PML makes a deeper tranny pan ...you would be really soild with those upgrades

I think the full blown performance Tranny from IPT is like 4000 or more. Plus labor. I think the PML pan is in the $200 range? But not sure on that. Toomnymods, has the full tranny upgrade, with stall convertor stronger gears, valve body upgrade and who knows what else, he spent over $4000
what are some things i could do to make my tranny, better faster stronger and cooler, all imput is appreciated
The Jatco tranny we have is an excellent unit. What are you planning on doing to the truck that you think requires a tranny upgrade?

I think the OP was looking for towing mods...
That still leaves a deep pan, but not much else. The factory aux trans cooler is pretty big and when towing in the correct gear the trans stays pretty cool.
I too wish the shifts were a little firmer for towing, but no programmer has been able to address that yet...

Hey Firelife, did you ever contact GT Motorsports in Rancho Cucamonga? I don't want to take anything from IPT, but just recently I found out GT Motorsports, the company developing the 6.0 stroker has been doing upgrades for our trannys for a few years. They do valvebody upgrades, torque converters, and full builds. Not necessarily for the Titan, because they were doing all of this for their turboed 350's, but they are proven to handle high boost and lots of hard driving with the Z's. Worth checking out, especially for the guys in Cali.

Because he posted in the Towing forum, not the Performance one...

well to settle all the arguements i actually dont haul or tow anything, i was looking for more performance, the reason i posted this thread here was because i figured that people that talk about transmissions alot would kinda point me in the right direction.

I think a cheap solution would to be able to crack the tranny's TCM and make some adjustments, slight line pressure increase for quicker/firmer shifts. That's what's killing the Titan's performance, IMO.
Watch toomny's video and you'll see how quickly his shifts with the built tranny.
And don't forget, toomny picked up knocked off nearly a ful second off his times with his tranny build. That's about right in line, for the price, with other go fast options...
TransGo now has a shift kit for the Titan. Don't know any Titan owners who've tried it, but TransGo is pretty popular with GM/Chevy guys and they're running some decent power through their trannies along with a TransGo HD shift kit.
Q has IPT valvebody, torque converter, and one of their external trans coolers. Transgo needs to add more detail to what exactly it does to our trannys...that would be a great upgrade if it can prove it self!!
