Brake controller problem.
I have the prodigy brake controller. Recently it has been having a problem. When I am slowing down only going about 10 mph the readout reads around 1.5 or so then will suddenly jump up to about 4.0 and the trailer brakes almost lock up. The booster or whatever its called is not even turned on. Any ideas what could cause this?

Ya I have had it since I got the truck in 06. Has worked fine until recently.
