Hey everyone I own a 2006 titan 4x4 offroad edition. I was wondering if I can tow a 2007 Hornet travel trailer . Shipping weight 6880 Ils. Carrying capacity 3120. 10,000 GVW What also do I need if I want to pull this on camping trips?

I'd say it's too much trailer for any 1/2 truck...
My own Titan is rated to tow 9500 lbs, BUT I'd never consider a trailer with more then about 7,000 lbs wet ready to go. I don't believe at running any truck at 101%...

You should never even get close to that GVWR... That would be 520lbs per person counting for 6 people. Most 29ft seem to be bunkhouse models. Hence the divvide by 6.
You will need the following:
Brake Controller - favorite on the boards seems to be the Prodigy by Tekonsa.(sp?)
WD Hitch - personal favorite is the Equal-I-Zer brand, but have heard good about the newer Reese Dual Cams.. all about dollars. Get the 1200/12000 either way. Far better to be above hitch needs than below, and differnce in cost is minimal.
Recommended Accessories:
Firestone Ride-Smart aribag kit. Helps keep load level without destroying your kidneys.
BT mirrors if you don't already have them. These ought to be mandatory items actually.

I disagree. A Titan BT is rated to safely tow 9500#, not completely maxed out at 9500#. I expect Nissan applies a significant safety factor when they come up with their ratings. To do otherwise would invite lawsuits.
What's the hitch weight on that TT?? I paid $9 to go weigh mine on a local CAT scale and I'd suggest everyone hauling a TT or TH to do it before signing the papers on it. If that hitch weight is too much more than 800-lbs, I think that's where your trouble will begin.
And so does driving exceeding the GVWR.

Pops did you mean TT(travel trailer) and (5)th wheel?
If so, my 08 4x4 BT LWB is rated for just under 1500lbs pin weight. Off the bumper they want around 800 or less. But the WD Hitch will help offset that.
I concur with you on the scale. Cheapest insurance ever on longevity of all three pieces.

Ooops sorry... TT(travel trailer), TH(toyhauler). 5th wheels get into a different arena that I'm still learning about so I was just sticking with Bumper Pulls.
FWIW, I just learned about a couple of Tow Dollies yesterday that allow us 1/2-tons to pull heavier 5th wheels by bypassing the GVWR. The sweet part is that a decent 5th wheel can be pulled behind an SUV that's maxed out with passengers. - hehe

Ooooooooooo..... do tell. That is liable to be cheaper than the hitch and rail kit installed. LOL

I seen one of those 5th wheel hitches last weekend on my to South Carolina camping. A 3/4 ton GMC was pulling a huge 5th'r and he had a ATV in the bed.
I think that is pretty cool set up and with the flooded market of used 5th wheel campers you can get one cheap enough to afford or make spending 5K on that hitch worth while.

Those tow buddies are very cool, but I can't imagine trying to back that in. I'm decent enough on the bumper, but put that one in between? And then put my wife back there trying to help guide me? The camping trip would be over before it started.

From my understanding, it doesn't pivot from your truck so it's like just having a few more feet added to your truck's length. That wouldn't be too bad at all.
I pull a 29ft tt weighing in just under 7000 pounds, tongue weight 1000# with two dirt bikes in the bed to the races every other weekend. The truck pulls just fine but trailer brakes and a WD hitch are a necessity, air bags are very nice...
