door mirror single arm mount change to dual arm mount
Hello All;
I have a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder Armada. I have been towing a 20ft trailer with it and it is very difficult to see behind the trailer. Does anyone know if the Dual arm mount (big tow pkg), electric, w/memory can replace the single arm mount, electric, w/memory door mirrors.
Will almost any year of the dual arm mount mirror replace the single arm mount, or am I stuck with the single arm mount?
Re: door mirror single arm mount change to dual arm mount
Thnak you for the information.
Next question about the Big Tow Mirrors. About how much farther do the Big Tow Mirrors (dual arm) stick out compared to the regular single arm mirrors on the Armada (or for Titan)? I have a smaller garage and with the regular non-Big tow mirrors, I have only about 4-6 inches clearance.

Thank you.
They are adjustable...just pull them in when you need to park in the garage.

They manually fold in too, if need be.

One thing to note... You need to swap out per your trim level...
If you have an SE, you need to get the SE Big Tow mirrors.
LE, get the LE Big Tow mirrors.
It matters as the LE have more functions such as heat, power, etc.... The lower trim levels don't come with the ability to connect to the LE functions... so stay within your trim level.
Re: door mirror single arm mount change to dual arm mount
The SE/LE do not matter on the Armada. The only options are memory or non-memory, everything else is standard. I changed mine out and the BT mirrors do help a bit.

Thank you sir.
Since I also have an F150 now, my neighbors have been asking if I got it to pull the Travel Trailer with. I answer "no, it can't pull the travel trailer, the Armada tows a whole lot more than the Ford can". It's hilarious to watch the confusion show up on their face then I say, "but the Ford can pull a boat if I get one later since pulling doubles is illegal here" then they get this 'Ahhhhh' expression. The typical SUV stereotype cracks me up.
Sorry John for the hijack. PM me if you want to know where I got my mirrors from, the price is tough to beat.
Re: door mirror single arm mount change to dual arm mount
Thank you for all your help and information. Its great to know ther is a wealth of information out there from owners and others.
Since I have the Armada LE with chrome covered mirrors, I hope to find chrome covered dual arm mirrors. I know they are out there. I have found the left side near here and the right side farther away.
The dual arm mirrors are costly but they will do the job and keep the Armada looking sharp.
Thank you for all your help and advice.
Have a good day.
