BT mirror just "Fell Off"
Anybody have this happen??
It's been loose for the last few days...I thought i popped it back in correctly. But my wife shut the door, and crash bang...The mirror fell to the ground.. Any diagrams/suggestions as to a fix? I've got the chrome cap on the back, and ain't sure how to fix this... I'm afraid the dealer's gonna rape me.... Thanx... |

You can't buy just the smaller convex mirror from the dealer. It looks like your mirror bracket broke and you're screwed. If you are within the 3/36 warranty then it should be covered. Otherwise, each mirror assembly (the whole thing) is about $225. There are often BT mirrors for sale on the forum. Look for a set here and that will save you some $$$.

my drivers one is super loose and the pass side wont budge. i looked as well but i cant figure out how to take it apart. it doesnt look like taking the chrome part off will get me anywhere. anyone??

Can't tell for sure from the pics, are you saying the lower convex mirror glass fell off? Or the whole mirror assembly?
In the first picture, the plastic tabs that hold the lower mirror look broken. In the second, it's kinda blurry, but it looks like someone tried to fix it with some kind of gray epoxy or something? Anyway, if those tabs in the main mirror housing are broken, then yes you will have to but the whole thing. You can buy the individual glass pieces, but online, not from Nissan.
