Well guys I know this has been asked before but after 46 days and 7200 miles and 8 states, I want something different. My 21ft Keystone Lite is great but we want something Bigger maybe a slide or two, maybe 28ft, we met tons of people and seen some nice rigs. What you see is what I got no more up grades, it's got BT package and brake controler. Any ideas out there for what I could be looking at. I know there alot of good ideas out there so let me know what you think..... Thanks

I would (and plan to) stay under about 27-28 ft overall length...I also plan on staying under 7,000 lbs loaded ready to go....
This alows me to still tow quite a bit for a 1/2 ton truck while at the same time I'm not running the truck at 100%

I think Loufish has good advice... I tow a 29ft 4in trailer including the tongue and I dont think I would want any more length. Dry weight about 6400# when its all loaded up and have dirt bikes in truck its pushin 8000-8500. I wouldnt want to pull much more weight. can drive 70 75 mph but much faster and it will get some sway. If your looking for a bigger trailer I would also recommend airbags.
30ft over all lenght (includes tongue) which means you get about a 27ft box and a GVWR at 7500 or less is pretty much ideal for these trucks IMO. Your at the 85% rule of thumb load and with a properly set up hitch you will have pleasant tow.
I have a Keystone 24ft RS. The closed box is 24ft with a rear slide that adds 6 more feet. The front has double set of bunks. This fits my family of 4 and dog just right. Side slides are great if plan on spending time in the TT. We don't, the only time we are inside is at bedtime or if a storm pops up. The GVWR is 7500lb and Loaded down I am 700lbs shy of that and it tows great.

Those are both nice floorplans. I tow a 7500 lb. 32 ft fiver and I have absolutely no trouble with my 2009 KC with tow package. In fact, I often forget it is there because it tows so well and the truck handles it so well. My trailer has an 18 ft. superslide that gives us plent of room with the sofa and dinette in the slide. I have a front bedroom in the section above the truck bed. I have had up to a 35 ft. bumper pull and would never go back from the fiver. With the KC, the fiver is not that big of a deal and the tow package gives you plenty of capacity for towing. There are some awesome light weight fivers on the market with low pin weights that the T can handle very well. This is just my opinion, of course, but I think that the fiver actually works the truck less because of the connection being over the axle and there is no sway. I recommend to all of my friends that when they replace their travel trailer they should go with the fiver and a couple have. They said it was the best move they ever made. Again, this is just my opinion, but you have enough towing capacity for the fiver if you find a nice, light weight unit and they provide a ton of storage under the bathroom that is usually pass thru to get more of the junk (or at least that is what I call all of the extra things that we take such as chairs, table for outside, camp stove, etc) out of the interior. Good luck on your search and let us know what you do.

Still relatively stock but I am working on it.
Added So Far:
Fog Lights, SilverStars (High, Low, and Fog Bulbs), Power Door Locks with Keyless Entry, Airbags, Running Boards, Mesh Grill She's a work in progress!
This past spring we upgraded from a 25 ft (~4500 lb) TT to a 32 ft (~6300 LB) TT with double slides (K-Z Spree 318BHS). The extra length hasn't been an issue, except remembering how long it is when turning. The trailer handles about the same as our old 25 footer. I haven't noticed any significant difference in wind or with passing trucks. The real key is to have a good weight distribution and sway control set up. The long wheelbase on my Titan probably helps as well.
Weight-wise, I wouldn't want to tow much more with my Titan. We're at about 6800-7000 lbs loaded up. The GVWR is 7500 lbs. Just about any hill will drop you to 3rd gear. I really wouldn't want to tow into a 20+ MPH headwind.
Good luck trailer hunting.

I pull a 34 ft Keystone VR-1 with a 2008 BT quad cab. It pulls it like a champ! My temps are all very low, even when going up 8% grades in NM. However, I am cautious and stay around 60mph when towing. Empty wt of the trailer is 7,000lbs. The most I've had loaded is around 9,200 lbs.
Just sold a Dodge 4.7l and purchased an 07' T-CC w/Tow Package and more with the intension of towing a 26'-30' TT with weight's between 7300-8400lbs GVWR. I have narrowed the selection down to several makes and models. My wifes only requirement is countertop space......very challenging. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
