Reporting on first towing experience...

We rented a backhoe to dig a large hole in the backyard for the trampoline to be at ground level. The backhoe wasn't huge just weighing in over 2k pounds. The trailer was way oversized for the load and weighed in at around 1k itself. I realize that this is well below the capabilities of the T with BT but had to report nonetheless as this is truly my first towing experience.

I couldn't believe how well the T accelerated with the load, it simply didn't feel as if anything was there. I really didn't feel any difference when accelerating without a load. I felt inclined to look in the rearview mirror multiple times to ensure that the trailer was even still back there.

To prove to the other truck owners, who are not of our breed , I had to push the envelope and out accelerate the other guys while taking the backhoe back to the rental shop. It was great seeing the confused looks on their faces when I coast until they met up with me again.

I just can't find any reason to dislike my '08. That's a good thing, right?

That's not much of a load for big tow Titan but remember just cause you can haul *** doesn't mean you can stop as fast. keep your distance and be safe.

I'm not one to be dangerous or take risks. The accelerations were on long stretches of road with little traffic. But your advice is well heard.

It kind of reminds me of people here in Colorado who believe their 4x4s will stop faster than 2WD cars with snow tires in the snow. Sure the 4x4s may accelerate easier in the snow but we all have 4 wheel brakes
