Forward Firing JL 10w6 Sub enclosure

Ok so I have built this enclosure 3 times and finally have the enclosure the way I want it. The customer really wanted to use his 10w6 subs and honestly was not sure if i could make them work or not. The seat will be lifted but will still ride great back there. Here are some pics of it unfinished.

that looks awesome, is this something that would be easier for you to make again if you have requests for the same setup? I've got the 2 10" upfiring RE's and I'm still happy with them, but I really like the look of foward firing subs and would like to eventually change mine. Great work James!

Re: Forward Firing JL 10w6 Sub enclosure

How does it sound compared to other set ups? I remember asking you about this set up awhile back but you said it couldn't be done. Glad to see you were able to accomplish it.

The seat will have alot of lift. But it will be loud. The old w6 was much better sub but these are nice as well. RE audio SEX will destroy it in output. And you can port 2 of them weher as the w6 has to be sealed

Sounds good. I really need to hear a ported set up because I am still iffy on them. I've heard one ported set up but it was an old, and I mean old box/sub that was missing bass frequencies.

I think 2 10s FF recessed into the box, with a template and covers would look pretty sick. lol

Re: Forward Firing JL 10w6 Sub enclosure

Looks good...Im pretty close to you and thinking about doing a setup soon. Is it possible to get 4 10"s under the seat? Will it be too much air for the cabin to hold to sound good? Im going for more SPL than just hard hitting, but I want more than your average joe. Basically, what Im asking is will 4 10's sound good downfiring? BTW - I plan on using sundown amps. I may use a sundown 1500.1 or 2 sundown 1000.1
