hid help any one????

im going to intall my hid kit when i finish my head light mod just had one question. should i break off that little cup thing that covers the oem head light bulb the the hid bulb points straigt out intdead of reflecting first.

Leave it, that is part of the reflector design and has a purpose.

Ive never heard of anyone actually breaking it off..
Although I have mine on and I still blind the sh*t outa people,, so I'd still advise to leave on

i feel bad being behind people.....hahaha with the new body lift and the 37's. I hate it for any little import in front of me.

Oh crap LOL, I broke mine off!!! Thats what I get on my first hid kit and not asking questions LOL....I tghought it was just to protect the bulb in shipping, but I also thought it was kind of funny that there was no easy way to take it off

The piece in question is inside the headlight assembly, not part of the HID kit/bulb. You broke something off the HID bulb?

Oh ok, well the HID kit I got had a round plastic housing around the HID bulb, you could unscrew it, but the power line ran right through it, so I had to crush it to get it off....Now I don't know what that thing was LOL
