Re: Titan XE...replace stock radio with...?

Dang look at that thing!! LOL I got an XE but it has the 6 disc changer. I wonder if the factory 6 disc changer would fit in that location. For aftermarket I'm not sure what is good, but for a better factory radio, you can find those ebay all day usually

I know...lol...I got the 4wd, lift, color, and price I wanted, but kind of got the stripped down version as far as interior stuff goes.

There is nothing wrong with that. I get lots of enjoyment from driving this truck, I'm not an interior person myself LOL.

Yeah I'm with you...the other features were more important. I would like the option to plug my iPhone in though.

Yes, The factory 6 disk changer will fit, but this is the XE face plate everyone is looking for to install a double din head unit.

When you guys say 'faceplate' are you referring to the entire front center panel that extends from the upper part of the dash all the way down past the climate control knobs as shown below:

This came up from Google (from this site of course, lol):

A few questions:

If I swapped my faceplate & stereo for his, would his just plug-n-play into mine?

Are the speakers in the Rockford Fosgate equipped trucks upgraded from what I have in mine?

Would the accessory jack in his faceplate be functional with my wiring harness?

It's hard learning a whole new truck.

Re: Titan XE...replace stock radio with...?

Save your money and go aftermarket. The stock rockford is not as good as aftermarket. You will need the radio and faceplate along with the amp and subwoofer to get a complete stock rockford system. You will spend less and get better quality with the aftermarket stuff.

Re: Titan XE...replace stock radio with...?

I tried swapping from the single cd to the 6 disk and it is not a plug and play. There is a wiring harness on the 6 disk and there is no place to connect it behind the dash. Aftermarket it is.

God is pilot, dog is co-pilot...I get to enjoy the ride (please don't say anything to my wife about the Titan parts that just arrived).

Re: Titan XE...replace stock radio with...?

hey heres a pic of mine.

i got the JVC KD-AR780 online, has three sets of pre amp outputs, aux in front and can hook the ipod from back, 3D Display - changes colors so the orange(ish) lights on the dash match the cd player (just naming the things i needed out of it) and i love the EQ setup you can adjust high mid and low how you want

i got the Metra install kit online aswell

hope this helps some
